This unmistakable magic, when exactly the right minds come together and everything harmonizes in a wonderful way, remains the most valuable characteristic of timeless music. Such processes are usually inexplicable, as is the case with Morley. One thing is certain: The organic lightness with which her polyphonic harmony singing floats through the atmosphere is extraordinary. In between, it almost sounds as if their voices are lovingly holding hands.

Morley is all about sounding good together. Each has its shining moments, but none overshadows the others. The three musicians Lydia Schiller, Melissa Muther and Rosa Kremp have unique voices that together create something almost mystical.

Morley eventually landed completely organically on their intimate and emotionally charged folk-pop sound. Acoustic guitar, ukulele and electric bass complement each other as well as the three vocals, while the songs are often more complex than typical folk-pop songs. These refined harmonies in particular make it clear that all three singers originally came from the

jazz world. Morley, however, is poppier and therefore music that touches everyone.

On their debut album Homeward, Morley were able to capture this unmistakable sound perfectly.

Again and again, all of these songs are about the search for a metaphorical home – in other words, a place of one’s own in the world – which is of course more beautiful in a threesome than alone.
