Glass processing on the outer borders of the Roman Empire

 

The managing director of Römerwelt Rheinbrohl and experimental archaeologist Frank Wiesenberg provides exciting insights into the fascinating world of Roman glass. Using archaeological finds and experimental replicas, he shows how glass was produced, processed and traded beyond the borders of the Limes in ancient times. The lecture combines scientific findings and practical demonstrations and reveals the extraordinary precision of Roman glassmakers.
