News from the Emsland Archaeology Museum
Many treasures lie hidden in the museum’s depot: They range from inconspicuous everyday objects from centuries past to spectacular discoveries that are changing the face of regional history. Find out first-hand what the objects in the Emsland Archaeology Museum’s collection reveal about the lives of our ancestors. Museum director Lisa Schadow and district archaeologist Thomas Kassens present selected finds from the Emsland Archaeology Museum and place them in the context of current research issues.
The lecture provides insights into the work behind the scenes of the museum and shows how even long-known finds can provide exciting insights and a differentiated picture of the Emsland’s past when viewed again.
