“I am deeply impressed by the precision and elegance of her lyrics and playing. I am very happy to have been asked to produce this album,” writes legendary guitarist Michael Chapman in his accompanying text to Sarah McQuaid’s fifth solo album “If We Dig Any Deeper it Could Get Dangerous”, which he produced. Michael Chapman offered to produce the album after meeting Sarah at a festival where they were both on the program.

The singer, who recently won a lifetime achievement award at the Arts International Guitar Festival in Northern Ireland, also impresses with her voice and stage presence. On her latest album, the singer-songwriter, who was born in Madrid, grew up in Chicago and lives in Cornwall, adds piano, electric guitar and drums to her arsenal of instruments. Critics from all over the world are enthusiastic; the Dutch music magazine Heaven praises the CD as an “early contender for the title of folk record of the year”, fRoots from England describes the collection of new songs as “pure pleasure” and for PopMatters from the USA it even offers “insights into the soul of a true pioneer”.
