Marc Raabe built up a TV and media production company before deciding to become an author in 2021. Raabe’s bestsellers are published in more than ten languages. His tools of the trade are cinematic storytelling, editing techniques, cliffhangers and psychology. In Meppen, Raabe will be reading from “Die Nacht” – Wenn Du erwachen, ist nichts wie zuvor”. A little boy disappears. But the case does not appear in any files. Fifteen years later, Dana Karasch, his older sister, disappears. But nobody seems to be interested in her either. Except for Art Mayer. The gruff BKA investigator has taken Dana’s little daughter Milla, who lives on the floor below him, to his heart. When Art asks a powerful friend for help, he stirs up a can of worms. An anonymous tip leads him and Nele Tschaikowski to an abandoned trailer park in the woods, far from civilization. There they find several nameless dead bodies – and the slashed body of a respected Berlin judge.
