But how does a stone become a tool? This requires a lot of knowledge, craftsmanship and certain processing techniques that hardly anyone knows today &#8211; this knowledge has not been needed for a long time, because now our tools, axes, knives, etc. are made of other materials. Markus Plesker is someone who has mastered stone carving \u00e1 la the Stone Age almost perfectly. This weekend he will be a guest in Meppen and demonstrate how a stone becomes a tool, how the working techniques changed in the course of the Stone Age and which tools the Stone Age craftsmen used. Among other things, Markus Plesker has with him an antler hammer, an instrument similar to a ballpoint pen and, of course, a Stone Age &#8220;lighter&#8221;. Watching, listening, marveling and perhaps even lending a hand yourself is the order of the day.
