DESCRIPTION:June 26 – August 16 \nART 2026. Members’ exhibition of the Meppener Kunstkreis \n  \nEvery two years\, the Meppener Kunstkreis invites its members to an exhibition. \nAs part of the exhibition\, the artistic members present themselves to a broad public and thus give an impression of their artistic work. \nWorks from the fields of sculpture\, photography\, graphics\, ceramics and painting will be on display. The works show how personally and differently the individual artists see and understand their world and depict and reflect it in their works. \nThe result is a unique exhibition that demonstrates the range of artistic understanding within the Meppener Kunstkreis and among its members. \n  \nPlace: Koppelschleuse Art Center \nAdmission: free

DESCRIPTION:In the fall of 2020\, the newly established Meppen City Museum opened its doors at the Koppelschleuse. During a 60-minute guided tour of the museum\, visitors will get to know the new museum and learn many interesting facts about the history of Meppen. You will travel through time with experienced museum guides who are happy to cater to individual interests. Everyone who wants to develop their artistic skills is welcome here – children and adults\, advanced and beginners\, newcomers and “old hands”! The focus is on the joy of creating. There is an opportunity to try your hand at various materials: The premises of the art school allow the use of acrylic paint\, clay\, chalk\, pastel\, collage\, papier-mâché and other materials. Of course\, our artistic instructor supports with professional guidance.
