WIM aka Nina Müller is like a hidden object of quiet questions to life. “What is music?” could be one of them. Then maybe WIM’s answer would be: close, dusty, tender, in a bit sad, light-footed, filigree and pure. On her debut album BOXER, WIM carefully and sharply observes the present, bringing together the best of both worlds: a good feeling for accessible, beautiful melodies and this playful poetry that can illuminate complex emotional worlds with simple words. WIM is the solo project of a very good and very busy songwriter and musician. Hamburg-based Nina Müller, for example, has already written songs for and with the Prinzen, Matthias Schweighöfer, Lina Maly and Mary Roos, has a gold record for Michael Schulte’s ESC success “You Let Me Walk Alone” hanging on her wall and composed the score for the feature film “Ein großes Versprechen,” which was recently nominated for the Lola.
